I’m happy to be able to post session 7 of my Labyrinth Lord/Ruins of the Undercity crawl campaign. This will probably be the party’s last delve for a while–after earning a bit of gold this session they’re looking to do a little adventuring above ground.

Try this out for solo gaming. Once again excellent work by Shawn Tomkin.

Happy Sunday, everyone. Here’s an Ironsworn one-sheet rules reference. It’s meant as a handout for new players, or as a prompt to remember some of the mechanics that might be forgotten during play.

I’ll have this up on the website with the 1.0 release in (hopefully) a week or so. Thanks!

The new Whimsy cards and Storypath cards from the late Stewart Wieck (Path of Chivalry and Path of Shadows not shown). These are an rpg tool for troupe style play (where aĺl players get opportunities to shape the GM narrative) and for plot design. They are therefore a powerful and natural fit for Solo. SP cards are themed but each 36 card deck can be combined together to make a megadeck. Cards are all numbered 1-7 with 1 being Theme cards which affect the entire Storypath and cards 4-7 containing one or two Climax cards which bring the Path to an end. It’s an easy matter to divide these into stacks and draw when prompted by your random event generation, continuing until you draw a Climax card (cards must be played that are of the same number or one higher than the last in the Path.) A very nice tool for framing and driving plots. Whimsy cards are similar but introduce minor whimsical elements like “Joy – someone feels reason to be happy” etc

Yet another chapter begins in my solo Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign, in which I use Miso and Adventuresmith to drive the story. This post turned into more of a creative writing exercise, but it picked up and ended on a cliffhanger! Thanks for reading!
