First run through of this very nice one-sheet roll-n-write dungeon crawler. Also, first post on my new solo gaming blog. It was a good time, will play again… and there’s a handful of adventures available! Free (as in beer)!
On top of creating NPC concepts, descriptions, motivations and flaws (or for PCs for that matter), I wanted an NPC conversation driver that could inject either completely random topics for world building purposes or inject some randomness related directly to the main story line. This is another attempt of mine to bring some true randomness into my solo plays so that I don’t pre-script NPC responses and reactions from my GM hat.
I hope it works well, but you should try it out for free using the random generators in the NPC section of my solo engine at http://playeveryrole.com which has now been updated with all the stuff in the PDF.
Plus a new review for Tiny Dungeon 2E up on my site as well. It just released this past week, and I think it’s a great little system to use for solo play. I’m planning to do some solo play in their wuxia-like microsetting soon. I’ve got a turtle martial artist (some might say ninja turtle) who is old and slow until battle begins and a catfolk monk about to set out to right some wrongs in a feudal Japan, Kung Fu Panda type world. Should be fun for a little romp!
So I switched to a different app with more recording time and finished Session 2. I like this way of documentation. It helps me get into the mood more by narrating the images, however, it does still feel a little strange. And I make more noise, which might disturb the sleeping beauties I have at home, one wife and two daughters…I am outnumbered!
As summer begins one expedition heads north while the other sails south. One of them finds something that might save the colony while the other observes something truly frightening. I had fun again with Ironsworn and Mouse Guard.
Hello fellow gamers. I felt like trying something new and did a short recording of the first session of a new game of Star Wars D6. So listen in but keep in mind this is still new and experimental.
Things are picking up speed in Merenranta. While one mouse prepares a power grab, another mouse slays an owl. I did slightly more narration this time. Feels like I am slowly building my ability to put down to writing what happens inside my brain :).
