With all of our recent discussion of PbtA, plus the fact that this one is “one-on-one” (which is only a short hop to solo…), means I think there are many here who would find this interesting. š

Hello friends!
I’m releasing an “ashcan” version of Lonesome World. You can find the rules summary and playbook here:

I’m keeping a design journal on Tumblr:

I’ll be posting updates to this Google+ collection (for now):

I’m eager to run more play tests! Please be in touch if you’d be interested in doing a 90 minute session.

I played this Cyberpunk adventure a while ago as a test, I enjoyed it :)

Most members there are not interested in game mechanics or rules. But if I can get some there to take an oracle (any kind) and let an in world character have a stroll through their world I count that as success.
Would you guys be interested in links to possible results, even though they most probably will be in German?
Let’s see if this crazy thing works… the SGAM challenge and project survey.

I’m trying to get my Solo play tools a bit better organized, and I want some advice. I want to get back in the habit of playing with pen and paper, as I find it much more relaxing and engaging than always typing stuff out.
My plan is to simply use various folders for various games I play, so I’m not constantly losing/reprinting stuff I already have. I’ll have dedicated folders for games I play often, plus one just for solo tools.
So far, the games folders will just have things like”
* Simplified Rules/”GM Screen”
* Generic/basic NPC Stats
* Character Sheet (PC)
* Blank sheets (if needed)
* Random adventure seeds/ideas (if applicable)
The Solo folder is the big one, though. So far I have the following
* Mythic Tables
* CRGE Tables
* Universal NPC Emulator Tables
* Everyone/Everywhere (random name tables)
Anything else you would recommend?
I’m also going to cross-post this to the Reddit group, in case anyone has already made the transition.

Reddit & Google Groups users: letās think about tags/flair and categories
Iām encouraged to see some activity there and some engagement!
Iāve been thinking about refining or changing how posts are categorized. One of the things that didnāt turn out quite like I envisioned it was the āmusingā part of solo RP which didnāt have too much pondering about the nature of solo RP.
There was a lot of cool stuff about campaigns that people were planning, practical questions about how to play a particular system solo, how to do modules, and some nice sharing of systems (though not as much talk of the thought process leading to that design). Basically, I feel as if there wasnāt as much discussion or exploration of the principles behind the techniques, approaches or design that were presented or suggested.
Iām thinking that there should be a category for that in particular. Perhaps there should also be a category for talking plainly of your plans for solo campaigns without necessarily going deep into principles or theory.
Make it easier for people to find ideas without pure theory wankery yet also make it easier for people to find theory wanking without sifting through musings about a campaign setting. The same goes for wanting to find how-to discussions or pure technique/mechanics presentation without someoneās campaign musings or deep theory wankery.
Some ideas for categories:
Principles/nature of solo rp & its techniques/mechanic/system (deep theory discussion)
Talking about my solo campaign or premise (as opposed to actual play)
Share a solo system/technique/mechanic (hot ideas)
General solo (Uncategorized / rpg product/setup porn, other solo related fluff, light content, links without much content in post body)
Thoughts?
