Just putting this out there in case anyone is interested. If you have an Alexa from amazon, you can play a D&D like adventure by saying “Alexa, start dungeon adventure”. Alexa will act as the DM. I tried it tonight just for a couple of minutes and it was pretty cool.
Not really role-playing but solo minature gaming: I just started playing X-Wing miniatures casually with a friend and really like it. Only had two games so far but I enjoyed them very much. Ordered the base game and a few ships (we played with his collection). Since I love tinkering and solo gaming I came up with this very simple first draft of a solo ruleset to play against a simple AI. It is more a brainstorming document and needs testing but I had to get the concept on paper.
So please feel free to try it out (I have to wait for my game to arrive) and give me feedback. I know there are a few solo rules out there and even apps but I was looking for something more generic. A set of guidelines that is quick and dirty and can be used for all ships.
So here goes nothing…

So1um Expanded Edition Fantasy – Set-up and first scene.
Here is my set-up and the first scene of my adventure for SGAM2017. To pay tribute to Zach Best I am also using the CRGE and UNE and I am using the taro images of the community to inspire the story.
As the plan is to release a pdf document with all the material afterwards I will forgo my usual handwritten style for this event.

Scene 2 posted while I have this down time. I should be able to sneak in another later today. In addition to “The Nightmares Underneath,” the Bundle of Holding includes “Dragon Kings,” so I’m skimming that to see how it compares to Dark Sun. Not sure if I’ll keep Wendy for next week, or if I’ll start with an Athas/Khitus setting. Either way, I think I’ll stick with Forthright and use it as an oracle similar to FU and maybe replace Fighting Stances with Index Card RPG’s Effort.
Episode two of my #SGAM2017 game based on Casey G.’s Stay Frosty. The squad has another big fight, a goon goes apeshit and an interesting UNE-generated NPC enters the scene. I quite enjoyed this session 🙂
