I’ve been quite busy lately, so I haven’t delved into the wonders of Solo RPGing for almost three months. However, I’m back! This time I’d like to share with you a funnel adventure inspired by Lost Pangolin’s Slasher Funnel. Once more, this is #Bivius in action! I hope you enjoy it!

Here’s part 3 of my Xena Ft. #Bivius game.

Here’s part 3 of my Xena Ft. #Bivius game.

A few notes for this one:

– I’ve added a hexploration mechanic to the game:

HEXMAP DIRECTION: 1 = northwest, 2 = northeast, 3 = east, 4 = southeast, 5 = southwest, 6 = west (can be chosen if there’s a clue or idea, or it can be rolled at random using 1d6).

– This gameplay felt more serious as compared to the previous one. There’s combat, wilderness exploration, and even a trap!

Again, I hope you enjoy it!

After creating my set of Xena: Warrior Princess characters using #Bivius, I’ve finally got the chance of playing!

After creating my set of Xena: Warrior Princess characters using #Bivius, I’ve finally got the chance of playing!

This first adventure follows the Bivius’ sandbox mode, focusing on urban adventures. The results have been fun, and silly. Just like in the series!

What I’ve liked: How easy things go, the amount of detail that results from playing, the system’s flexibility

What I’ve loved: the simplicity of the rules, the sidequest system, the fact that all options that are not chosen may very well be used in later adventures!

I’ll definitely keep on playing!

Thanks to lino pang and #Bivius, I’ve decided to get started and bring my favorite series of all time to the realm of Solo RPG.

#Xena: Warrior Princess, Bivius edition! I know there’s an official RPG of the series from early 2000’s (the Hercules and Xena RPG), but I want something not that elaborate or complex.

First things first, I’m going to get started with my main cast of characters, namely: Xena (main), Gabrielle (sidekick), and Callisto (nemesis). I will be controlling Xena and Gabrielle throughout the adventure. Callisto will be there to cause trouble, and hopefully, my heroines will encounter her eventually.

Instead of choosing stats at random, I’ve decided to adapt skills, data, and equipment from those the characters have in the actual show. I’m thinking about the early seasons of XWP, so Xena’s skills are not overpowered.

Results are as follows:
