Evelyn’s parents were unable to conceive, one of her fathers friends and a lodge brother recommended the Pangeus Institute and procedure by the world famous Dr Zachary Stone enables the couple to conceive. Evelyn is welcomed into the world by overjoyed parents.

Evelyn from an early age showed signs that although she was physically well developed, her social and mental development was seriously lacking. The parents consult with Dr Stone, resulting in Omicron treatments which awakens her latent Omega Gene.

Dr Stone had originally enhanced the foetus using revolutionary technology, that was the alpha phase, the Omicron treatment would bring forth Homo Ultima.

Now Eve has super fast reflexes and superior regenerative capabilities.

Eve seems to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time, even though she pretty much remains clueless as to what exactly is going on.

Hey, all! I just pushed out an update to the #SGAM website. I plugged in the current details for this year at the link. I think, if Chris Stieha​ agrees, I will supply a set of “solo kits” for Week 2 since we have the Zero Tarot prompt for this week.

BONUS: after wrestling with the Google API far longer than I wanted, the site is now aggregating all the 10 most recent G+ posts with the #SGAM or #SGAM2017 hashtags (which should include this one!). I may add infinite scroll/pagination at some point, but for now I need to get my game on!

I was a bit delayed by family obligations and just being sick as a dog (which is saying alot, as my dog is also sick), but I finally got around to making my superhero character for #SGAM2017.

Here’s METAL ANGEL, a good kid trying to make a difference in the world. He was saved by a group of heroes when he was little, and now that he has powers, he hopes to live up to their legacy.

Had a minor emergency this morning so I didn’t as much done as I’d planned (or the lists I promised, but those are forthcoming shortly). I will get a social media “feed” going that lists all the appropriately hashtagged posts, as well as list Chris Stieha​’s instructions on the /sgam2017 page.

Shared Story Structure: Week 1

One possible theme for SGAM 2017 is the shared story seed and elements. With that said, I used Todd Zircher’s Zero Tarot (http://www.tangent-zero.com/zero_tarot/zero_tarot.htm) to create a set of images that we can all draw from to drive our story.

Interpret these how you will. Do they set up the story? Do they describe the story arc? Do you focus on the images? The names? The interpretations? It is all up to you!

Again, feel free to join in, but don’t feel obligated to.

Hanson finally gets a break in her case, as she thwarts an attempted assassination.

And with this post, I’m putting “A Lonely Hope” on hiatus as I get ready for Solo Gaming Appreciation Month. I’m still not sure what I’m going to play for it, but I know I want to take a break from Vampire, and “modern supernatural” games in general.

For those who have been reading along, I’d like to ask a few questions, if I may. For this AP, I’ve been trying out a couple of new tools and a new format style.

Does the format style of mechanics/narrative/other thoughts work? Are there any improvements you would like to see? If you’ve read any of my older ones, do you prefer the more rigid style, or the “old school” free form style?

I’m using a couple of different tools and mechanics. Is this understandable? Is it clear which tool I’m using, why I’m using it, and how it’s impacting the game?

Any other feedback? I’m always striving to not only challenge myself with my Solo gaming, but also with my Actual Play reports, and would greatly appreciate any comments or observations, both positive and negative.

As you know, we recently lost Zach Best, founder of Conjecture Games (http://conjecturegames.com/), creator of many great products geared towards solo play, and a great person. Therefore, we have decided to dedicate this SGAM 2017 to him.

The Why and How of Solo-Gaming

Along with the dedication, we will put together a collection of solo gaming tools and examples to create a pdf to help people understand the why and how of solo gaming. Everything is welcome, from tools to actual plays. Tell me if you want your stuff included in the compilation.

How can you participate in SGAM? PLAY and post! Create tools and post! Make NPCs and post! Even if you don’t post, PLAY!

What can you use? Everything! Check out Zach’s work, but use anything that you want. Everything is welcome in the compilation.

Do we have any themes? Feel free to do what you want, but we have some suggestions that I will organize, such as

1) People use some common elements to inspire their story

2) People start with the same story seed

3) Develop NPCs using UNE and post them for people to use
