I found out about these games here at Lone Wolf, and I’d like to share that there is a new campaign version of these games you can get through the link at Pencils & Powers FB page. I find that I really enjoy these games that you can play with just a pencil and a few d6. He has also released games with a Halloween theme and a Christmas theme that I enjoyed. I recommend watching his YouTube tutorial before playing one of these; it will save you some time figuring out the rules as well as give some good advice on game strategy.

So, continuing my solo D6 Star Wars game, I’ve come across an interesting issue which is normally used as a plot device for the GM to send subtle hints to Force Sensitive characters.

How to handle visions and dreams given through the Force.

I’m curious what sorts of solutions folks out there might have, then I’ll share what I came up with going with my gut.

Session 4 of Keep on the Shadowfell. This time I checked if the encounter takes place as described in the module. That was not the case so I randomly determined how it is altered. I made a short list of possibilities beforehand e. g. add trap or hazard, add additional goal, tougher enemies, different enemies etc. The result made things interesting and my oracle added another twist…

Journey To The Overland Back On Kickstarter

Journey To The Overland Back On Kickstarter

Hi all,

Sartana, reached out to me four years ago on Rpg.net which I hardly followed about talking about my Solo Tabletop Roleplaying Game on the group. The game funded and is now back on Kickstarter to fund a new expanded rulebook as well as some cool modules.

Journey To The Overland is a Solo Tabletop Roleplaying game inspired by games like Barbarian Prince, Lone Wolf, Conan the Barbarian and Dragonquest.

Unlike other solo role-playing games available Journey To The Overland combines both role-playing and board gaming by using the “map” as the game board (a la Barbarian Prince).

The game itself comes with a whole host of rules and cards for playing it solo as well as a cool color map and OSR rule book.

Your main objective is to collect Five Weapons of Power but you can take different paths towards victory. You might want to amass an army, form your own Kingdom or just continue to adventure in dank dungeons. All in all its a very interactive story experience.

The only miniature you need is one that represents your favorite kind of hero. In this Second Edition the main rule book has been vastly revised and expanded and is now available for the first time in a hardcover edition.

I hope to see some of you over there or chat here later.
